W Holloway died from wounds on 8th April, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Rifle Brigade battalion was part of 25 Brigade, 8th Division, that had been involved in the Battle of Neuve Chapelle in March, 1915. |
